Using Digital Technology to Educate and Engage Youth in Fighting Zika

On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, UNICEF LACRO, International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) Western Hemisphere Region (WHR), and The Knowledge for Health (K4Health) project hosted the webinar, “Using Digital Technology to Educate and Engage Youth in Fighting Zika”.

During this webinar, Youth Engagement Specialist Vicky Maskell (UNICEF) shared key findings from U-Report activities, while Youth Network Coordinator Génesis Luigi (IPPF/WHR) discussed how we can use these findings and adapt other digital approaches to engage youth in the fight against Zika.

More than 30 attendees joined the webinar and engaged in the Question and Answer session following the presentations. We are grateful to our two presenters for sharing their fascinating findings from the U-Report platform, and their insights working with youth. We look forward to continuing the discussion on using digital approaches to educate and engage youth in the Zika response.
