Mozambique Malaria Communication Strategy 2013-2017

This strategy is based on associations between research on the behavior, anthropology, sociology, social marketing, public relations, education and entertainment, popular drama and interpersonal communication. The document contains several integrated interventions in the area of communication with the intention to engage individuals and communities on issues related to prevention of malaria.

The strategy emphasizes the malaria control depends in part on the behavior of individuals and the community in general, in use of mosquito nets treated with insecticides, IRS, the provision of preventive treatment of malaria pregnant women and the availability of test and treatment options.
